Welcome to my Online Patient Resource Platform!

I'm so glad you're here. This platform was created with two goals in mind:

1. To provide high-quality, accessible information that helps you navigate healthcare in a more complete and empowering way.

2. To educate and support you in becoming more independent in your health & wellness, especially when so much of the western healthcare system tends to gatekeep important knowledge.

Here, you'll find a variety of resources, including:

-Courses tailored to specific conditions (like digestive health) and unique demographics (such as injury prevention for basketball players).

-The Patient Resource Centre, which houses all the homework from our in-person sessions and weekly posts/videos on the most common health concerns I see in my practice.

You’re also invited to join the Ripped Hippie Community, a low-cost, inclusive space where patients can ask questions, share experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals. Your support here allows me to continue creating and expanding these resources.

I truly hope you find this platform a valuable companion to our one-on-one sessions. And please, if there’s something you’d like to see added, just let me know. I’m here for you and always happy to help.

Thanks so much for your support!

Dr. Sarah Howlett

D.Ac, RMT

Hello! I'm Sarah, a dedicated healthcare practitioner and athlete with over two decades of experience in holistic wellness. Since 2004, I've been practicing as a Massage Therapist and became a Reiki Master in 2009. This year, 2025, I completed my studies in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

My journey bridges two seemingly opposite worlds - the gentle, healing arts and intense athletic pursuit. As a lifelong athlete, I began with competitive swimming at age 7, where I first learned the power of mental preparation through visualization. My passion for competition continued to evolve through bodybuilding, strongman competitions, Highland Games heavy events, Olympic weightlifting, and jiu-jitsu, giving me firsthand experience in the physical demands of various sports.

This combination of athletic experience, therapeutic expertise, and mindfulness practice has shaped my approach to wellness. Throughout my career, I've worked with a diverse spectrum of athletes - from distance athletes to strength athletes - understanding their specific needs and injuries. What sets my practice apart is my ability to blend traditional healing methods while keeping modern training in mind.

My philosophy is deeply rooted in the Chinese Medicine concept of Yin and Yang - finding balance between healing & training, recovery & perseverance, softness & strength. I help athletes not only recover from injuries but also understand their bodies better, empowering them to take charge of their recovery and growth.

When I'm not treating patients or training, you'll find me walking my dog, having coffee with friends, cheering on my daughter, Rian in her sports, and spending time around the fire with my husband, Darcy.
